There are several factors that might affect the reception of your pages. The most common problem is being out of coverage. Check our coverage maps and try to determine if you were out of coverage when someone paged you.
If you were in coverage, what type of building where you in? Was it a building with a metal roof such as a warehouse or superstore? Or a mobile home? These buildings can cause interference with the paging signal. While the older, slower Buad rate pagers do generally perform okay in these environments, the newer Flex pagers do have problems. If you live or work in a metal building, try locating the pager close to a window or door.
If it's not coverage or a metal building, then try this. Take the battery out of your pager. Leave it out for 60 seconds. Now place it back in your pager. Turn the pager on and you should notice an improvement in performance. The Flex Pagers seek the paging signal almost constantly and can sometimes lose the signal. Equipment such as microwave ovens, cellular phones, and even computers can knock the pager of its signal. Basically, this "reboots" the pager and will help it "find" the paging terminal signal again. Please note: you may lose your Protected numbers when taking your battery out.
